My Farewell Admissions Office
Post by Ranya Samara
What an amazing and wonderful two years it has been being an intern at the Undergraduate Admissions Office! I have had the opportunity to work with wonderful individuals who have all inspired me in so many ways. I was able to meet high school students who were anxious and excited about coming to NC State, and it’s certainly a rewarding experience to have helped them out.
Many of you may be wondering why I will not be continuing my internship until May, and the reason is that I am currently student teaching at Knightdale High School. I am teaching two Honors Precalculus classes as well as an Algebra 1 Part B course. I am finally achieving my lifetime goal of becoming a math teacher, and I’m so incredibly excited to be doing this. I love each and every one of my students, my cooperating teacher, and the school faculty. Everyone is willing to help me out and share their ideas, it’s a great collaborating environment.
Although I’m very excited about beginning my teaching experience, I am still going to miss NC State very dearly. I have had an incredible experience here as a student and I am truly honored to have been part of the Wolf Pack family. I met my best friends here and some of the most brilliant professors anyone could ever wish for. The transition from being a student to a professional will certainly by different, but I am excited and ready to start a new chapter of my life.
Go Pack!
I miss you, Ranya!!! Hope the teaching is going wonderfully!!! Come see us sometime!
best of luck to you Ranya on your new endeavors
