A remarkable aspect of the BioSciences Management Initiative is the extent to which key company leaders across many biotechnology sectors are actively engaged in the College’s strategic planning efforts.

Dual concentrations are required for full-time students, but most part-time BioScience Management MBA students can obtain multiple concentrations as well. This allows students to expand their base of knowledge and makes them more employable and desirable in the workforce. Specific concentrations are as follows:

  • BioScience Management
  • Supply Chain Management
  • Innovation Management
  • Entrepreneurship
  • Marketing
  • Finance
  • Services Management

Dual degree students can also build their knowledge and skill set by simultaneously obtaining degrees from different colleges within North Carolina State University. The benefit of Dual MBA Degrees is the ability to link technical backgrounds and business context. Students distinguish themselves by connecting these programs and furthering their expertise. Spanning the boundaries of various roles, departments and industries is crucial for success. The most common Dual Degree programs include:

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the College of Veterinary Medicine & MBA degree from the Jenkins Graduate School of Management
  • Professional Science Masters degree in Microbial Biotechnology from the College of Agriculture & Life Sciences & MBA degree from the Jenkins Graduate School of Management
  • Professional Science Masters degree in Biomanufacturing from the College of Engineering & MBA degree from the Jenkins Graduate School of Management

Our curriculum (and students) works with many other programs both within and outside of the College of Management.
