Uday Murthy
Uday Murthy Uday Murthy’s studies data modeling and design methodologies for accounting systems, auditing computer-based systems, expert systems, and group support systems in accounting. His research has been published or accepted for publication in scholarly journals such as The Accounting Review, Journal of Information Systems, and Auditing: A Journal of Practice and Theory.Murthy is currently investigating whether providing relative performance information feedback and framing the feedback in a positive or negative manner induces performance improvements in a repetitive task. He is also evaluating designs for online interactive financial statements that allow user-controlled access to disaggregated information about firm performance.
Ninon Sutton Ninon Sutton’s research interests are in corporate finance and, in particular, mergers and acquisitions. Her work has been published in several journals including the Journal of Financial Research, Financial Management, Financial Analysts Journal, and the Journal of Business, among others.
Sutton is currently investigating the connection between acquisition activity, one of the main motivations for going public, and IPO long-run performance. The research provides evidence that newly-public firms that acquire perform poorly in the long-run. She is also examining the changes in premiums paid to U.S. target firms in cross-border and domestic acquisitions over time and the factors that explain these changes.
Anol Bhattacherjee Anol Bhattacherjee’s research interests include the adoption of information technology innovations, healthcare informatics, and knowledge transfer in social networks. He has over 70 publications, including in premier journals such as MIS Quarterly, Information Systems Research, and Journal of MIS, that have generated more than 2,300 citations.
Bhattacherjee is currently examining what factors motivate independent software developers’ adoption of technology platforms such as Apple iPhone and Google Android for building mobile applications. He is also investigating alternative modes of governing online knowledge repositories such as wikis and how such governance influences people’s willingness to contribute to and use knowledge from these repositories.
Jegoo Lee Jegoo Lee’s main research interest is the relationships between actors’ social relationships and their moral decisions or behaviors. His research has been published in Business and Society, Journal of Management and Organization, and Journal of the Operational Research Society along with others.
His current research, recently honored Best Dissertation from both the Society for Business Ethics and the Academy of Management, examines social investors’ mobilization strategy from the social network approach. He is also looking into the mechanisms around corporate responsibility, examining how a firm’s responsible activities, for diverse stakeholders, impact its social and financial performance.
James Stock James Stock’s research interests include the areas of customer satisfaction, reverse logistics/product returns, and supply chain management. He has authored more than 150 publications and is on the review board of several international journals, including the International Journal of Physical Distribution and Logistics Management, Logistics Research, and The European Business Review, among others. He is also the editor of the Journal of Business Logistics.
Stock is currently examining the development of sustainability and environmental initiatives within the 100 largest manufacturers and 100 largest retailers within multiple countries. He is also developing a collection of logistics and supply chain dissertations published from 2005-2009 that will summarize trends, examine the institutions that have generated the dissertations, and provide commentary on future developments in the field.
