2010-2011 Outstanding Students in Criminal Justice Administration

On November 30, 2011, the Criminal Justice Administration program honored it's Outstanding Freshman, Sophomore, and Junior students.  These awards are presented every fall semester.  They are based on grade point average and cover the previous academic year (2010-11).  Each student received a certificate and an autographed copy of Michael Capuzzo's New York Times bestseller, The Murder Room, 2010, donated by Dr. W. Scott Thornsley.

LAE Members Assist in Local Flood Recovery Efforts

On September 24, 2011, brothers from Lambda Alpha Epsilon, a national professional fraternity for criminal justice students, traveled to Hughesville, Pennsylvania to aid in flood recovery efforts.

Brendan Benis, Justin Morales, Tyler Morse, and Kyle Wagner helped remove damaged items from the residence of a family friend of one of the fraternity members.

Once damaged items were removed from the basement to a dumpster, the brothers cleaned the basement with products to inhibit the growth of mold.  The home owner was very appreciative for the assistance and stated that the brothers were "such a great help and a pleasure to be around!"

Boxing, anyone?

CJA's Outstanding Sophomore, Chad Kramer, is a member of M.U.'s Boxing Club.  The annual Boxing Invitational was held on Sat., February 4th, 2012 in Decker Gymnasium.  Chad won his bout against a fighter from Lock Haven University.  He is pictured with CJA professor Joshua Battin.
