*PLEASE NOTE* ALL BENEFIT PAYMENTS INCLUDING HOUSING (BAH) ARE PAID IN ARREARS AT THE END OF EACH MONTH DIRECTLY TO YOU FROM THE DEPARTMENT OF VETERAN AFFAIRS. POST 9/11, CHAPTER 33, RECIPIENTS MUST BE ENROLLED GREATER THAN HALF-TIME, AT LEAST 7 CREDIT HOURS DURING STANDARD TERMS, TO RECEIVE HOUSING PAYMENTS AND CAN NOT ENROLL IN ALL ONLINE COURSES.

HOW TO APPLY IF YOU ARE A: Veteran, Serviceperson, or Selected Reserve:

Chapter 30: Montgomery GI Bill Active Duty

Chapter 31: Vocational Rehabilitation (VONAPP Form 28-1900)

Chapter 33: Post 9/11

Chapter 1606: Selected Reserve

Chapter 1607: Reserve Educational Assistance Program

Please submit the following:

1.  VONAPP Form 22-1990 (Veterans Online Application) or a copy of your Certificate of Eligibility. PLEASE NOTE: If you are a transfer student and have used your VA benefits at another institution please submit VA form 22-1995 in the place of form 22-1990.

2. Veteran Benefit Certification Request

3. DD214 Member 4 Copy (if applicable)

4. Notice of Basic Eligibility/NOBE (if applicable)

5. Kicker Contract (if applicable)

6. Buy-Up (if applicable)

The following VA chapters are required to verify monthly attendance via WAVE ( Web Automated Verification of Enrollment) to avoid an interruption in payments:

Chapter 30 (Active Duty)

Chapter 1606 (Selective Reserve)

Chapter 1607 (Reserve Education Assistance Program)

HOW TO APPLY IF YOU ARE A: Dependent or Spouse: Chapter 35

Please submit the following:

1.  VONAPP form 22-5490 (Veterans Online Application) or a copy of your Certificate of Eligibility.  PLEASE NOTE: If you are a transfer student and have used your Survivors/Dependents' benefits at another institution please submit VA form 22-5495 in the place of form 22-5490.

2. Veteran Benefit Certification Request (Please be sure to include the veterans social security number or VA file # on this form)

HOW TO APPLY IF YOU ARE A: Transient VA Student

Please submit the following:

1. Veteran Benefit Certification Request

2. Transient Permission Form (Please obtain a certified copy from your home institution......you are required to submit this document to the enrollment office and a copy to your VA certifying official each semester you attend.)

*PLEASE NOTE* All information can be submitted to the financial aid office on your campus, or please feel free to email, or fax your documents AFTER YOU HAVE REGISTERED FOR CLASSES. Enrollment certification will be sent to the Department of Veteran Affairs ONLY after you have registered for classes.
