Mr. Diebert is the poetry editor for The Chattahoochee Review, GPC's literary journal, and co-sponsors the GPC Writer's Forum on the Clarkston campus. He is a published poet and the author of the collection Life Outside the Set (Sweatshoppe Publications, 2013). His favorite recent and current writers include (but are not limited to) John Berryman, Elizabeth Bishop, Alice Friman, Mark Halliday, Terrance Hayes, Philip Larkin, Rodney Jones, and Robert Wrigley. Before he became a teacher, he made sandwiches, sold game systems, sold shoes, and provided computer software help. In 1988, he had a successful bone marrow transplant for leukemia.
