Thank you for following Learning & Tutoring Center Policies:
- Please sign up for a tutor on the clipboard at the front of each room.
- Study Groups: are encouraged.
When working with more than one student, a tutor may spend
15 minutes PER STUDENT (up to an hour total).
Group Members: Sign on individual lines to help us properly count visitors. - Reservations: to work with a MATH OR SCIENCE tutor can be made
for 4 or more students working together on the same subject.
For reservations, contact: email Dunwoody Learning and Tutoring Center
tell us what date, time, and subject you are interested in.
You will receive a confirmation email from us when we have verified
that a tutor is available at that time.
- Our goal is to help students become independent learners.
Tutors may:
Outline the procedures to work a problem or to correctly format a paper
Work problems in math or science similar to what has been assigned
Suggest ways to prepare for tests
Teach students how to proofread their own papers
Review study tips
Tutors may NOT:
Help students with take-home quizzes or tests
Edit or proofread papers for students
- Tutors may work with an individual student:
15 minutes: for math courses through Calculus 1
20 minutes: for science courses and math courses above Calculus 1
30 minutes: for writing (20 minutes if 3 or more students are waiting)
- Students may sign up for as many MATH or SCIENCE tutoring sessions as they wish
- Students requiring WRITING help are limited to 4 sessions per 24 hours

No food or drinks other than water are allowed in the library building.
- Headphones are allowed as long as the volume is low enough that others cannot hear them
- Computer use is limited to 1 hour if people are waiting.
- People using software only available in the LTC (Compass practice tests, TI Connect, Mathematica, etc) have priority on the computers.
Indicate if you will be in the hallway.
