The Dual Enrollment Program

Georgia Perimeter College invites qualified high school seniors and juniors to participate in an exceptional academic program which offers small classes, individual attention from instructors, and the opportunity to take core classes to fulfill college requirements.  Dual enrollment students take college courses before graduating from high school and earn both high school and college credit.

Information on the Dual Enrollment Program at Georgia Perimeter College including the requirements for participation and application directions can be found on the main Dual Enrollment website.

All Dual Enrollment students have the option of attending an on-campus orientation or completing an online orientation before they will be able to register for classes. The orientation is designed to familiarize you with academic services and student services on our campuses.  The section that covers academic services opens with a welcome from Dr. Maggie Ehrlich, one of the campus Academic Deans who will give you some hints for academic success, the section continues with pages that tell  you about what is meant by a course credit hour, what courses a Dual Enrollment student can take, how to pay for these courses, which courses are eligible for tuition through ACCEL (you'll also learn all about ACCEL), the grading system at GPC and how you get your grades.  The section that covers Student Services opens with a welcome from Dr. Norvell Jackson, one of the campus Deans of Student Services; the section continues with pages that explain how to get your Student ID, how to get a parking permit , how to order a transcript when you have completed your classes at GPC, how to use your HigherOne Card, some safety and parking regulations from Protective Services, library information at GPC and at the GSU Alpharetta Center.  Many of the pages contain links to other websites that offer more complete information on the topics presented during orientation.
