Resource Specialists serve in four roles:
1. Advocates speak or act on the behalf of students to ensure continued success, especially when students are experiencing academic difficulties or adverse situations in their personal lives.
2. Counselors create an environment of effective communication and strong relationships.

*Develops social interaction skills Students stay engaged in the
learning process
*Students develop a sense of trust
3. Instructors teach three counseling and guidance courses to connect to the college, community, and global issues: College Survival, Career Development, and College Transition Seminar.
4. Advisors assist students with a long range plan stretching over several semesters inclusive of scheduling and course selection.
Student Services utilizes several strategies/interventions to proactively assist students with issues that can hinder academic achievement and personal growth.
