Health, Wellness, and Recreation

Georgia Perimeter College creates Health, Wellness, and Recreation policies and guidelines are designed to minimize participant risks and litigation against the College and University System.

Student Activity Fees give you access to programs and resources to achieve your optimal level of mental, emotional and physical fitness. You can participate in a wide variety of free Wellness activities on all campuses including HIV/STD testing, weekly health screenings, health fairs, stress reduction activities, campus walks, lunch-time walkers, cancer awareness events, hiking and white water rafting.

In the event of a serious accident or illness on campus all emergency care will be secured by Campus Protective Services. Services provided by the DeKalb, Gwinnett or Rockdale County Emergency Medical Services will be the full responsibility of the student. The student or parent will assume full responsibility for the cost of such emergency care, including ambulance charges. Accident and hospitalization insurance plans are available to Georgia Perimeter College students. Contact your Campus Dean of Student Services for more information and an application form.
