Domestic Violence Seminars are conducted annually campus-wide consisting of a guest panel of  subject matter experts, presentation and Q&A.

The department works to prevent sexual assault by offering a number of scheduled programs

designed to educate students about sexual assault and sexual offenses. In addition,

presentations, publications, and brochures can be provided upon request. Avail yourself

of these programs and help prepare against an assault.

In accordance with Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) If you are the victim of a sexual assault,
(Domestic Violence, Dating Violence or Stalking) you may choose to report to one or more of the following.

By law, your identity may not be made public and every possible effort will be made to protect
individuals’ privacy. Take care to preserve any/all evidence associated with your assault as this
may be important to the prosecution of your case, should you decide to prosecute. Whenever

possible GPC counseling staff encourages assault victims to report said activity to appropriate


If the victim wishes to notify Public Safety, the statistic will be included, while granting
anonymity to the victim.

If requested, and reasonably available, the College will change a victim’s academic situation,
working situation, living and transportation in light of the offense. GPC does not provide
residential housing for faculty, students or staff.
