R.A.D. (Rape Aggression Defense)

The R.A.D. Program is a comprehensive, women-only course that begins with awareness, prevention, risk reduction and risk avoidance, while progressing on to the basics of hands-on defense training. R.A.D. provides women with the knowledge to make educated decisions about resistance and instills confidence in all those that participate in the program. The class is offered only to female students, faculty, and staff free of charge.
The Department of Public Safety offers the Basic Self-Defense and Rape Prevention course to all campuses, once per academic year. This program is free of chage
The Department of Public Safety has four nationally-certified instructors:

- Officer Samantha Rose - Newton & Decatur
- Officer Robert Wood - Clarkston & Decatur
- Officer Maya Shabazz.- Dunwoody & Clarkston
