To summarize “Quiz Bowl” play, our team consists of four players competing against another team of four players from another college in a contest of knowledge and quick recall, most commonly, a format of “toss-up” questions followed by “bonus” questions.  Questions span in subject matter from Humanities, Natural Sciences, Social Sciences, Mathematics, and Current Events. Player substitutions are allowed at selected points in the contest.  Tournaments consist of 7-12 rounds of play, usually in round robin fashion.

The GPC Quiz Bowl team has played in National Academic Quiz Tournament (NAQT) events, Testing Recall About Strange Happenings (TRASH) events, and regional hybrid and independent tournaments in the Southeast.
