Full-Time Instructor

Faith Powell is as a full-time instructor in Georgia Perimeter College’s Sign Language Interpreting Program on the Clarkston campus as well a freelance and VRS interpreter.

Even with over 30 years of professional practice, she has maintains her enthusiasm and respect for the work and the people.  While she gives great credit to her coursework (both in her interpreter training program and in graduate school), the support of other interpreters, workshops and textbooks…it is the Deaf Community to which she owes her career.

Her current areas of interest are the development of both expressive and receptive ASL practice techniques and her on-going research into semantic clusters.
