    Other Selection Criteria:
A number of factors are taken into consideration in selecting the recipients of the GEAP Scholarship. Though candidates are viewed on an individual basis, the strength of an in-coming GPC student's secondary preparation is an excellent measure of his/her readiness for college. Of equal value are the student’s personal qualities: maturity, intellectual awareness, and motivation toward learning.

In addition to high school records and personal attributes, aptitude and achievement test scores are other indicators GPC will use in its selection of scholars enrolling at GPC for the first time. GEAP specifically targets highly motivated Hispanic/Latino students that have already been accepted to GPC, and current GPC students approaching their second year, with a demonstrated financial need.
