Spring 2016 Commencement and Perimeter College Convocation
Graduates/Candidates Participating in the Commencement and/or Convocation Ceremony
Students eligible to participate in the Spring 2016 Commencement ceremony and Perimeter College Convocation are:
· Summer 2015 and Fall 2015 graduates - Those who applied to graduate and completed their degree requirements at the end of either the Summer Session 2015 or Fall Semester 2015.
· Spring 2016 graduation candidates - Those who applied to graduate and will complete degree requirements at the end of the Spring Semester 2016.
· Summer 2016 graduation candidates - Those who applied to graduate and will complete degree requirements at the end of the Summer Session 2016.
Honors are based on a student's cumulative GPA as of the end of the last semester completed. Honors posted on diplomas will be determined by the final cumulative GPA. Graduation candidates receiving honors must have earned at least 27 hours at GPC and earned a 3.50-3.69 for honors; a 3.70-3.89 for high honors; or a 3.90-4.0 for highest honors by the end of the last semester completed. You will receive an Honors cord to wear over your robe when you check in for the Perimeter College ceremony on May 6th.
If you are a member of one of the honor societies (Phi Theta Kappa, Alpha Beta Gamma, or Sigma Phi Alpha), please make sure you order your honor sash through your honor society advisor. Honor sashes will not be available the day of commencement.
All degrees conferred at this ceremony (Spring 2016 and Summer 2016 Graduates) will receive diplomas that have the GSU name - not the GPC name.
Any Perimeter College student submitting a graduation application to Enrollment & Registration Services after April 8, 2016 will not have their name in the programs as the program submission deadline has passed. You are still welcome to attend one of both ceremonies. Please RSVP as soon as possible!
