I've never taken an online course before, how do I know if online is for me?
Answer
Taking an online course requires the same, if not more, academic rigor and course participation than taking a traditional on-campus course. Students can’t just “sit back” and do the minimum of taking exams because the nature of online courses requires a certain level of participation through discussion boards, chats and other activities. Characteristics that are shared among students who are most successful in online courses are: maturity, strong time and self management skills, computer access, and computer competency.
