With undergraduate and graduate degrees in English from Wake Forest University (Phi Beta Kappa, cum laude), I teach English, composition and literature, at Georgia Perimeter College.

I enjoy exploring world cultures and literatures and honing my creative writing, all toward more effective teaching of English composition, British literature, creative writing, and Humanities through the Arts.

I was the Editor of Creative License, 1993 - 2006.  I have taught several creative writing classes since then – and worked on my own writing projects on the side. I am a founding advisor of Cafe Noir, Newton Campus’s student coffeehouse. Professionally, I have published articles for conferences, on international topics, and poems, short stories, and non-fiction for anthologies.
