    courses of instruction:

Don has taught with Georgia Perimeter College since 1994.  In addition to teaching design and sculpture classes at GPC, Don has taught similar courses other Atlanta area colleges since 1986.  The University of Georgia Studies Abroad Program has invited Don to teach stone and bronze sculpture courses in Italy half-a-dozen times to American students, where he also has twice been an Artist-in-Residence.  Georgia Perimeter College and Finland's South Carelia Polytechnic have twice worked in collaboration to establish Don as a visiting professor of stone sculpture in Imatra for Finnish art students.

Don's artistic explorations are chiefly sculptural, with an emphasis on sculpture using stone as the primary material.  Some of the other materials he also employs in his work are cast metals, ceramic, wood, hot and cold-worked glass, and found objects.
