Computer Science

The discipline of computer science is rapidly becoming a wholistic science. From education to business, finance, industry, medicine, communication, and entertainment, computing technologies today touch nearly every aspect of our lives. The computer science department at GPC offers a three course sequence as the key computing core for the Associates of Science Degree in Computer Science. The first course is designed to give students an introductory tour through the ever expanding world of computing. The second and third course prepare students for real-world problem solving in the context of learning the Java programming language. Our department's extended programs offer additional exposure to the field of computing through Academic Conferences and the Dunwoody Computer Club.
