About CITS
UMass Dartmouth has an extensive array of computing and information technology support services. Computing and Information Technology Services (CITS) is under the administration of Donna Ritenour Massano, Associate Vice Chancellor for Computing and Information Technology Services in the Division of Library Services, Information Resources and Technology.
In the fast-paced world of information technology (IT), it is imperative that IT be regularly reorganized to respond to the rapid changes in technology. At UMass Dartmouth, CITS is organized around a flexible team structure that ensures the ability to adapt to diverse and evolving campus IT needs.
The IT Service Center is composed of two teams, one to support faculty and staff and another to support students: the IT Faculty/Staff Support team and the IT Student Support team. Two CITS teams support development-- Web Design and Development and Information Systems Integration--while other teams support infrastructure: the Network Systems team, Access Management team and System Administration and Operations team. In support of teaching and learning, the Instructional Development team assists faculty with technology in the classroom and online course development.
