InterLibrary Loan

InterLibrary Loan is a service that helps eligible patrons obtain materials that are unavailable in the Temple University Libraries. Temple University students, faculty, and staff are eligible to use interlibrary loan services.

You can request these types of materials:

Loans

Books
Theses and dissertations
Scores
Microforms
Non-print materials: video/sound recordings

Copies

Journal articles
Book chapters
Conference proceedings

Placing Requests for Interlibrary Loan Materials

All requests for materials must be submitted via ILLiad. Before submitting your request, make sure to check the Diamond catalog and/or the Journal Finder service for local availability.

In addition to requesting books through InterLibrary Loan, patrons may also request books through E-ZBorrow, a service that allows patrons to place requests directly, with e-mail notification when the material is available. At this time, only books are available through this program; they generally arrive within four working days.

We do not accept requests for items that are available from another Temple library. See our guide Requesting items from other Temple libraries for help in requesting items from other Temple libraries.

Notification & Pickup

If you have questions about your requests, contact the Paley InterLibrary Loan Unit at 215-204-0752 or via email.
