Ministerial Round Table on "Education and Economic Development"

02-10-2007 - A Ministerial Round Table on education will be held at UNESCO Headquarters in Paris, France, on 19-20 October, 2007, during the 34th Session of the General Conference.

Building upon the two previous Round Tables focused on education quality in 2003 and Education for All in 2005, the 2007 Round Table will concentrate on the key issues at the interface between education and economic development.

It will seek to identify new approaches and elicit fresh ideas, provide impetus for future national policies and strategies, and give orientation to UNESCO’s action and priorities in this field.
