UNESCO Launches EDUCAIDS CD-Rom

UNESCO announces the launch of the Global Initiative on Education and HIV & AIDS (EDUCAIDS) CD-Rom aimed at ensuring greater access to materials that promote comprehensive education sector responses to HIV and AIDS.

The CD-ROM contains more than 200 supporting documents for the EDUCAIDS
Resource Pack in all 6 UN languages (Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian and Spanish) and Portuguese, including:

• 35 technical briefs;
• Overviews of practical resources on quality education; content, curriculum and learning materials; educator training and support; policy, management and systems; and entry points, as well as the original reference documents; and
• The EDUCAIDS framework for supporting comprehensive education sector responses to HIV and AIDS.

The EDUCAIDS Resource Pack, developed by UNESCO in close collaboration with a wide range of partners, supports stakeholders at the country-level responsible for developing and implementing policies, determining resource allocations, and implementing programmes for education and HIV & AIDS.
