As part of Troy University’s efforts to provide accurate, timely information to our university community, a new mass communication system is available. TROY contracted with E2Campus to provide an efficient mechanism for expedient delivery of emergency notices to a variety of electronic devices. TROY can swiftly notify university constituents of a number of unexpected events, including:

• Emergency Broadcasts
• Alerts
• Weather Advisories
• School Closing
• Class Cancellation
• Significant Maintenance Events

The subscription service allows the end-user to enlist an electronic device as a supplemental contact. Currently, the university utilizes many electronic systems for dissemination of unexpected event notifications. A list of current systems follows:

• Website notices to http://www.troy.edu
• Website notices to http://sos.troy.edu
• Email to Trojan Email account
• Audible Alerts (limited use)
• Digital Signs (limited use)

The E2Campus system can instantly send notification to a subscriber device.  A list of supported devices follows:

• Mobile phone (via SMS text message)*
• Blackberry*
• Wireless PDA*
• Text pager*
• Personal portal (My Yahoo, iGoogle or My AOL page)
• RSS reader

In order to subscribe to the service, you must have a Trojan Email Account.  Your Trojan Email Account credentials will provide access to the subscription page.  One may change subscription information as frequently as desired.
