FIRST-YEAR CURRICULUM

All engineering students take a common first-year curriculum and do not commit to a specific engineering major until the end of the freshman year.

Fall Semester

• GE 1000: Introduction to the Study of Engineering
• GE 1110: Engineering Design
• MTH 1341: Calculus 1 for Science and Engineering
• CHEM 1151: General Chemistry for Engineering
  or ( Honors Section)
• Arts/Humanities Elective

• GE 1111: Engineering Problem Solving with Computation
• MTH 1342: Calculus 2 for Science and Engineering
• PHY1151/152: Physics for Engineering 1 with Lab
• ENG1111: College Writing

The above curriculum sheets reflect the course numbering changes that take effect Fall 2009.  Please refer to the conversionator for a table of old/new course numbers. 

The syllabi linked to the above courses are for general information only. On the first day of class, your instructor will distribute a syllabus that is specific to your course section. We recommend that you hold off from buying your books until the first class meetings.
