Assistant baseball coach Ryan Britnell is a graduate of Normal West High School where he and the Wildcats were sectional champs his senior year. Britnell completed two years at Lincoln Land Community College in Springfield, Ill., where he helped the Loggers win the NJCAA World Series in 2000.
Britnell served as an assistant coach under Heartland head coach Nate Metzger with the Twin City Scrappers from 2002-2004 and helped coach the team to a 2004 NABF World Series win. Britnell was also an assistant under Metzger in 2005 for the East Peoria Scrappers in the Central Illinois Colligate League.
Britnell currently resides in Bloomington, Ill., with his wife Nichole and daughter Emma.
