Facilities and Resources

LRSP faculty and graduate students teach writing in several technology-enhanced spaces: A series of wireless classroom spaces were installed in Fall 2006 and the Technology, Writing and Research Classroom was established in 1994.

Writing instruction and research is also conducted in Kent State's Learning & Technology Center, Moulton Hall.

The Center for Research in Workplace Literacy (CRWL) was established with funding from the Ohio Board of Regents. LRSP faculty and students may use the CRWL space and equipment for workplace-related research.

Coming Soon: A new media learning and research center in English is currently in the planning stages. This collaborative research center will support the writing curriculum, which emphasizes multiple literacy skills, and faculty and graduate student research in writing studies.

Kent State University's Library holds major rhetoric and composition journals and is building a collection of rhetoric and composition monographs. Kent State is also a member of OhioLink, a consortium of over 80 libraries across the State of Ohio, bringing a vast array of resources to faculty and students alike.
