English 40010: Writing Portfolio

The Writing Portfolio is a directed study taken with a part- or full-time faculty member of your choice. For more information about the portfolio, visit the Introduction.

Students work with their directors to decide what goes into the portfolio and what kind of new and revision work should be done. Students must have a director before receiving permission to enroll in the course, and then should complete the Portfolio Requirements and Permission form.  They also select a reader; if the director is not a member of the Department of English, then the reader must be.

To enroll in the Writing Portfolio you need junior standing, a 3.0 GPA in Writing Minor courses, and permission from the Writing Minor advisor. Receive advising for the Writing Minor in 206-C Satterfield Hall.

Students whose portfolios are in progress may wish to visit the pages for Writing Portfolio Guidelines and Style Guide.
