Department of Political Science
David Rothstein is a research assistant at Policy Matters Ohio, a non-profit and non-partisan research group. David has a B.A. from John Carroll University and a Master's in Political Science from Kent State University, where he is pursuing a Ph.D. At Policy Matters, David works on a variety of economic issues in Ohio. These include energy policy (with the Apollo Alliance, for clean energy and good jobs) and tax and wage policy (such as the Earned Income Tax Credit, the living wage, and predatory lending). David has previously interned in Congress, the Board of Cuyahoga County Commissioners, and the City of Cleveland’s Office of the Mayor.
At Kent State University, David’s two research areas are American Public Policy and Administration, and Transnational and Comparative Public Policy. He has worked with Dr. Steven Hook, Dr. Erin O’Brien, and Dr. Mark Cassell on a variety of research areas at Kent State.
