In the aftermath of the Virginia Tech massacre, James Alan Fox and Jack Levin were quoted by media outlets across the nation.

A U.S. News and World Report article on M.B.A programs highlighted Northeastern's program.

Professor William Mayer was quoted in a Salon.com article about the enormous amount of money being raised for the 2008 elections and what effect it will have on the nomination process.

Barry Bluestone was quoted in The Boston Herald as saying that Boston's crime rate may cause housing prices to drop. (link no longer available)

Andrew Sum, director of the Center for Labor Market Studes, was quoted in an op-ed in The Boston Globe about the connection between Boston's crime and unemployment rates.

Communications professor Walter Carl was quoted about word-of-mouth marketing in The Economist and TIME Magazine.

Professor Rashmi Dyal-Chand was quoted in a TIME Magazine article on microfinancing.

Nanotech Wire covered Professor Chris Bosso's conference about the public policy implications of nanotechnology.

The Chronicle of Higher Education, The Boston Globe and other local media reported on Northeastern's increase in selectivity.

United Press International and several industry publications reported on research by Professor Manoor Amiji on using nanoparticles to treat cancer.

Northeastern hosted two events during the Boston Cyberarts Festival, the Visual Music Marathon and a conference held by Mayor Menino and President Aoun on Boston's emerging video gaming industry.  The Boston Globe covered both events.

Dan Swann, a journalism student on co-op at The Boston Globe, wrote an article on students working to improve the lives of others, focusing on several Northeastern students.

The Boston Globe quoted Emmett Price, a music and African American studies professor, in an article about so-called "ghetto" aspects of culture moving into mainstream society.

Professor William Mayer was quoted by MSNBC about the role of "super-delegates" in the Democratic National Convention.

Law professor Margaret Burnham wrote an op-ed in The Boston Globe about courts reversing racist decisions from decades ago.
