Transfer Program
It is mandatory for all transfer students to attend a one day orientation session before they start at Northeastern. A non-refundable $350 New Student Fee will be posted to your first semester bill. This fee includes student orientation costs (including the opportunity to have two complimentary guests participate in the Parent Program which runs simultaneously to the Student Program), the automatic membership of your parents into the Parents Association; receiving regular communication on the University throughout the year, and Welcome Week activities.
Check-in/Check-out Times and Location
Student and guest check-in will be from 7:00-7:30am, location to be determined. Check-out begins at 3:00pm. Please note that the check-out time can vary upon the completion of the student's academic advising.
Early Arrival
For those who have chosen the Early Arrival option, check-in time is from 5:00-9:00pm. Students may check in at Stetson West residence hall lobby the evening prior (Wednesday) to your session.
Parents electing to arrive early to summer orientation may participate in this option for an additional fee. Participants receive an overnight accommodation (Wednesday-Thursday) and meal (prior to 7pm) for the night before the session. Parents may check in at West Village E residence hall lobby.
Please note: Students that enroll at Northeastern without attending their mandatory orientation session will be charged $50 to their account, in addition to the new student fee.
International Students
In addition to participating in New Student Orientation that precedes the start of the semester, international students are also invited to take part in a comprehensive introduction program, hosted by the International Student and Scholar Institute (ISSI). Activities include cultural enrichment programming, information sessions, immigration advising, regional excursions, intercultural/diversity education seminars, and workshops on topics ranging from academic success to student life.
