Traveling, especially over long distance, can really jack up your carbon foot print, but there are greener ways to go about it.

When flying, choose the most direct flights. The fuel expended for multiple takes off and landings on connection flights make them more energy and carbon intensive.

If you plan to rent a car ask about hybrid options.

When you check into your hotel ask that sheets and towels only be changed if they're left on the floor, to save energy and water. Remember to turn off the lights, TV and air conditioning when you leave your hotel room.
