According to the 2002/2003 Occupational Outlook Handbook - Medical Transcription is one of the ten fastest growing occupations in the U.S. Medical Transcriptionists work with pharmacists, therapists, technicians, nurses, dieticians, social workers, psychologists, chiropractors, medical doctors and others. All of these healthcare providers rely on the legal documents that are created by the medical transcriptionist.

This online program will provide students with a working knowledge of medical terminology as well as proficiency in the transcription of medical reports. Students should be proficient in keyboarding and have a basic understanding of a word processing program. This course is available for immediate registration and you can complete the course from any web-enabled computer.
