About Us

University Counseling Service is a comprehensive developmental/mental health center providing a full range of services to meet the needs of students, faculty, and staff. The Counseling Center is staffed by Licensed Professional Counselors who are available to assist students with personal, academic, and vocational concerns.

Group of students
The counselors are qualified to assist individuals and couples in solving situational problems or improving self-understanding and personal relationships. The following services are provided:
Counseling services are available without cost (except minimal fees for testing) to USA students, faculty, and staff. Strict confidentiality of records and counseling relationships is maintained at all times. Appointments may be arranged by calling (251) 460-7051 or visiting the Counseling Service office, Alpha Hall East, Room 326.

University Testing Service serves as a regional testing center for national testing organizations. Services are provided in the areas of testing as requested by the various entrance examinations and are administered at this testing center.

Information regarding tests offered, schedules, and registration materials may be obtained by contacting the University Testing Service office located in Alpha Hall East, Room 326, (251) 460-7051.
