Program Learning Outcomes

Graduates of the Chemical Engineering Program will:

• Have demonstrated knowledge of the mathematical, science, and engineering principles        fundamental to the practice of chemical engineering.

• Be able to design and conduct experiments and analyze and interpret data related to        chemical engineering.

• Demonstrate the ability to accomplish design problems to meet desired needs.        Demonstrate an ability to function successfully in a team environment accommodating the        contributions of team members having a variety of skills and perspectives.

• Have an ability to identify, formulate, and solve chemical engineering problems using a        variety of techniques, skills, and modern engineering tools.

• Have been encouraged to develop high personal standards for integrity and ethical        responsibility.

• Have demonstrated proficiency in written, graphical, and oral communications.

• Indicate a motivation to continue developing knowledge and skills after graduation. Have a        broad enough education to understand the impact of engineering solutions in a global and        societal context and relative to contemporary issues.

• Have an ability to apply modern computational tools to the solution of chemical engineering        problems.

• Have developed an appreciation for the practical applications of theory, enhancing their        immediate value to traditional chemical and petroleum industry.
