The University of South Alabama will have
H1N1/Swine Flu vaccinations available for students, faculty/staff and their dependents on
Friday, November 20, at the
Mitchell Center south entrance (closest to Old Shell Road). Vaccinations are available at
no cost, from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m.
Our current supply of vaccine is for ages 4 years and up and is limited to 2,500 doses. Further supplies, including pediatric vaccine, should be coming in over the next few weeks. As more supplies are received, additional H1N1 vaccination clinics will be held.
The flu shot clinic being held this Friday, at the Mitchell Center, is available to all students, faculty/staff and their dependents, while supplies last.
Based on Centers for Disease Control (CDC) guidelines the following groups are at highest risk:

Caregivers for children younger than 6 months of age

Healthcare personnel
-
All people from 6 months through 24 years of age

Pregnant women
-
persons aged 25 through 64 years who have health conditions associated with higher risk of medical complications will be asked to go directly to their physician’s office.
