Transient Credit Approval Process (ver 12/31/2008)
This form and process is required for all study abroad activities that involve
taking classes abroad and receiving USA credit for them.
Step 1 Carefully read the USA Abroad Application Steps.
USA Study Abroad Academic Approval/Application Steps
Step 2 Print and READ CAREFULLY the USA academic credit and Transient Credit Approval Routing Procedures - (PDF document - type all the relevant information and sign) - This document includes a copy of the transient credit approval form, if you need extra copies go to step 3.
Step 3 MAKE SURE YOU PRINT AND READ STEP 2 FIRST. If you need an extra copy of the transient credit approval form please go to:

(PDF form - Type all relevant information as indicated on the form and sign)
Step 4

Make a COPY of all the course information provided by your chosen study abroad program - you must attach this to the forms indicated above and BRING THE DOCUMENTS TO OIE for further advising regarding your chosen program.

If you take the forms to your academic advisors first please be sure that you contact OIE as we must verify the accreditation of all programs and the information you have regarding courses, academic standing, etc. BEFORE review and approval can take place.

Step 5 MAKE SURE YOU ATTACH THE ROUTING PAGE (STEP 2) AND PROGRAM COURSE INFORMATION (STEP 4) TO THE TRANSIENT CREDIT FORM (STEP 3) OTHERWISE YOU WILL DELAY THE PROCESS
