Walking Tour of Mobile
November 28 (Saturday)
This is a wonderful opportunity to see downtown historic Mobile “up close and personal.” Our walk – with the very knowledgeable and entertaining Richard Rose serving as our guide - will enable us to develop a real historical understanding of this wonderful city as we stroll by antebellum homes, museums, monuments, and old cemeteries. We will walk 7 miles in 4 hours and will stop 1 hour for lunch at “Spot of Tea.” Bring a comfortable pair of walking shoes and your camera. We will leave the Rec Center at 8 a.m. and return around 3 p.m.
Check out our WEB page – southalabama.edu/outdoor/ - for great pictures from a previous walking trip, pictures and videos of other trips, and our itinerary for the entire Fall Semester.
Cost: $5 for students, $10 for faculty/staff. Friends and family may attend for $10. This is a great way to entertain family visiting for the holiday! Fee includes transportation and our guide.
Trip Limit: maximum of twenty, minimum of six.
