What is SGA?

The Student Government Association is the voice and governing body of the students. All South Alabama students are members of the SGA and encouraged to get involved.

The purpose of SGA is to protect and advance the students' interests as well as to promote the welfare of the students by providing student services.

The SGA operates as a constitutional democracy and is composed of three branches: the Executive Branch, the Judicial Branch, and the Legislative Branch.

The SGA meets every Monday night that school is in session at 8:00 PM in the Student Center Ballroom. Our meetings are always open to all students and faculty of the University of South Alabama.

For more information, please come by the SGA Office which is located in the Student Center Room 280 or contact the SGA Office at (251) 460-7191.
