Additionally, national studies have shown that those students who work on campus are more apt to remain at and graduate from that school than any other demographic group. Make friends, become central players in the campus community, and develop allies amongst student affairs staff... what a great idea!
Student Center Student Employee Code of Services

The following statements represent a sincere commitment by all SC student employees to the type of service which we wish rendered to all South Alabama community members and visitors:

1. The customer will always come first. In dealing with customers, we will exemplify a positive attitude, a willingness to serve, patience, and full attention to their needs.
2. We will continuously demonstrate to our customers that they are important and valued in our building.
3. Whenever possible, we will offer assistance before we are asked for service.
4. As employees, we will not interrupt another employee/customer contact or transaction.
5. We will be innovative, flexible, and open to suggestions.
6. We will strive to maintain a professional appearance.
7. We will always demonstrate good telephone etiquette.
8. We will be competent in our job responsibilities and have complete knowledge of our job to be performed.
9. Our service will be as fast and as efficient as possible.
10. We will demonstrate pride in our jobs.
11. We will be supportive of co-workers and management. We will consistently provide support and cooperation amongst ourselves and leave personal problems at home.
12. We will give frequent positive reinforcement.
13. We will seek out cross-training.
14. Again, we will place the customer first, and remember that they are the reason why we are working here.
