Emergency Contact Verification Hold
As a result of increased awareness of security issues of all kinds on University campuses nationwide, UMass Dartmouth is initiating a process that requires students to provide and/or verify Emergency Contact information on a regular basis. This information will be used to contact designated individuals in the event of an emergency involving any student on campus.
As of the start of the Spring Semester 2008, all students able to enroll at UMass Dartmouth will have all Registration/Add/Drop/Swap a Class activity restricted by a Service Indicator (Hold) applied to their account.
The Service Indicator may be "self released" by students through COIN by verifying their Emergency Contact information.
Your cooperation in encouraging students to comply with this change in policy is appreciated. For further assistance, have students go to: http://www.umassd.edu/coin/emergencycontact.cfm
For assistant releasing the Service Indicator (Hold), click here for the Emergency Contact Information Verification Job Aid.
Students may also receive assistance releasing the hold by calling or visiting:
- COIN: Student Help Desk 508-999-8884
- Student Help Desk located in the Library Lower Level
- Student IT Help Email @ itstudentcenter@umassd.edu
- Computer Lab Assistants in any of the CITS Lab located on campus
