PlacePro for Students

Welcome to PlacePro, the online recruiting and referral system for the College of Engineering Cooperative Education & Internship Program (CEIP) at UMass Dartmouth. PlacePro is the secure database used by the CEIP to maintain student and employer information. Students seeking career opportunities via the CEIP can post resumes and view job postings. The accuracy of this database and information submitted is vital to the operations of the CEIP Office. Every semester until graduation, you are responsible for login in to PlacePro and update all contact information.

To Access PlacePro:

• Go to www.placepro.com
• Enter the UMD Access Code when prompted. The code is UMDCOOP
• Enter your PlacePro login and password

  FIRST TIME Users:

• For your login: FIRST letter of first name, your LAST name and last FIVE digits of your social security number. For example, David Smith, SSN 123-45-6789, the login would be: dsmith56789
• Leave the password BLANK
• Click on "login"
• Once in PlacePro, you will create a password and can change your login. PLEASE KEEP THE PASSWORD AND USERNAME IN A SAFE PLACE, you will be referring to them often.

Student Agreement

The Student Agreement is a statement that explains the policies and procedures that you will need to follow in order to successfully complete the CEIP.

Steps to complete the Student Agreement include:

1. Click on the “Agreement” link on the left-hand side of the screen.
2. Read the agreement and click on “Click here to Accept” to complete this step.
3. Click the “General” tab on the top of the screen to return to your PlacePro homepage.

General Information

• Click on the "About You" link in the menu to edit and update your contact information. Accurately complete the General Information, Academic Information, School Address, Work Address, Permanent Address, and International Student Information. Remember, press "SAVE" located at the bottom of the screen.
• Click on the "Job Preferences" to edit and update your placement information.  This screen will enhance the "matching" criteria for co-op/internship jobs that are posted. More than one selection can be made in the categories.

You are now ready to proceed with the " RESUME" and the " INTERVIEW" process
