4th Annual Fall Mathematics Conference

Since October 2003, the SCRMP fall math conference has brought together math educators from SouthCoast school districts for the purpose of maintaining a regional network capable of supporting improvements, innovations and leadership in mathematics education.The content focus of this year's conference is:

Number Sense - Thinking Rationally:
Pre K - 12:the 4th Piece of the Standards Puzzle.

Participants will:
* Hear about current research on student learning in mathematics
* Discuss the teaching and learning of specific problems with grade-level peers

To enrich grade level and vertical discussions,math educators from any of the following areas are encouraged to attend the conference:
- Pre K – 2 math teacher
- grade 3 – 5 math teacher
- grade 6 – 8 math teacher
- grade 9 – 12 math teacher
- curriculum coordinator
- administrator (any level)

Schools are encouraged to send as many teachers from each grade span as wish to attend.

Please register early.

This year’s conference is limited to 120 participants. Registrations are being accepted on a first come first serve basis.
Please share copies of the registration material included in this mailing with math teachers, curriculum coordinators and administrators.

Completed registration forms must be received by Friday, Sept. 29, 2006

Registration Fee: $25 per participant includes conference materials, lunch and parking (in the designated lot).Participants are asked to bring their own calculators.
