  • Agriculture Network Information Center
    Description: AgNIC is a guide to quality agricultural information on the Internet as selected by the National Agricultural Library, Land-Grant Universities, and other institutions.
  • Appropriate Technology Transfer for Rural Areas
    Description: ATTRA is the national sustainable farming information center operated by the private nonprofit National Center for Appropriate Technology (NCAT). ATTRA provides technical assistance to farmers, Extension agents, market gardeners, agricultural researchers, and other ag professionals in all 50 states. Topics addressed by ATTRA can be categorized into three broad areas: sustainable farming production practices, alternative crop and livestock enterprises, and innovative marketing.
  • Aquaculture Network Information Center
    Description: AquaNIC provides access to electronic aquaculture information at the national and international levels, it provides self-paced aquaculture instruction to the aquaculture industry, and maintains the aquaculture subject area for the Agriculture Network Information Center.

  • Natural Resource, Agriculture & Engineering Service
    Description: NRAES is an interdisciplinary, issue-oriented program sponsored by cooperative extension of fourteen member land grant universities that provides information to faculty and field practitioners on: horticultural production; dairy, livestock, and poultry production systems; agricultural waste management; consumer education; natural resources management; farm safety; biological engineering; and environmental engineering.
  • Northeast Organic Network
    NEON is an innovative consortium of farmers, researchers, extension educators and grassroots nonprofits working together to improve organic farmers' access to research and technical support. Funded with a $1.2 million grant from the US Department of Agriculture's Initiative for Future Agriculture and Food Systems, this multi-state, multidisciplinary team will be conducting research and extension and education programs on organic agriculture throughout the Northeast.

  • UMass Agriculture and Landscape Program: Plant Problem Diagnostics
    Description:UMass Amherst recognizes the importance of reliable and prompt diagnosis of plant problems for the turf, floriculture, fruit, vegetable, nursery, urban forestry and landscapeindustries. We serve farmers, horiticulturists, landscape contractors, turf managers, arborists, nurseries, and tohers in agriculture and the green industries. Each diagnosis, made by the team, includes a written report with pest management strategies that are research based, economically sound and environmentally appropriate for the situation.

  • Univ. of Minnesota - Center for Farm Financial Management
    Description: The Center's mission is to improve the farm financial management abilities of agricultural producers and the professionals who serve them through educational software and training programs.
  • Univ. of Wisconsin - Healthy Farmers, Healthy Profits
  • University of Wisconsin-Madison - Center for Integrated Agricultural Systems
    Description:The Center for Integrated Agricultural Systems brings together university faculty, farmers, policy-makers, and others to study relationships between farming practices, farm profitability, the environment, and rural vitality.
