Notes: UMass Dartmouth extended its winning streak to eight straight with a 7-6 non-conference victory over Brandeis University in a game played Sunday in Dartmouth, MA. The victory improves UMass Dartmouth's overall record to 12-8, including a perfect 8-0 since returning from an early season trip to California. Brandeis falls to 11-8 overall.

The Judges jumped out to a 3-0 lead after the first inning as David Graham and Lars Borssen knocked in two runs and Dan McIntosh stole home. The Corsairs got one back in the bottom of the first on an RBI single by Geoff Nettleton.

UMass Dartmouth grabbed the lead with four runs on two hits in the bottom of the fourth. Mike Dougan and Robert DelDuca walked and Nettleton's single scored Dougan, while DelDuca scored on an error. Tom Jachimczyk had an RBI single and Jason Orlando brought home the fourth run on an infield ground out.

Brandeis tied the score at 5-5 with two runs in the fifth and some help from a Corsair error and an RBI single by K.C. Tenukas. UMass Dartmouth came right back and scored what proved to be the game-winning run in the bottom of the fifth. With two out, Jachimczyk singled and Kevin Walsh doubled. Orlando's single scored both runners for a 7-5 Corsair lead. Brandeis scored one run in the top of the ninth with the help of two UMass Dartmouth errors. Jason Daley, who came on in the eighth to get out of a jam on a double play with two men on, picked up the save by getting the final outs with two runners on base.

UMass Dartmouth will be back in action on Tuesday, April 9, when the Corsairs travel to Framingham State College for a non-conference game, beginning at 3:00 p.m.
