Game notes: A 21-11 loss to Babson College eliminated UMass Dartmouth from the ECAC Men's New England Division III Lacrosse Tournament and concluded the Corsairs 2002 season. Coach Jeff Feroce's Corsairs wrapped up their season with a 9-8 record and a berth in the Little East Conference finals and their first invitation into the ECAC Tournament.
Babson College jumped out to a 12-2 lead at intermission and never looked back, outscoring the Corsairs 9-8 in the final 30 minutes for the 10-goal victory.
Trailing, 12-3 at the break, UMass Dartmouth got hot in the third period by scoring four straight goals to cut Babson College's lead to 12-7. But Babson College came right back and put the game away by scoring five straight unanswered goals over a four-minute stretch of time.
