Satellite Telemetry Tracking Projects

The Archie Carr Center for Sea Turtle Research (ACCSTR), has developed a number of satellite telemetry projects to determine the migratory and distribution patterns of sea turtles. The ACCSTR is using state-of-the-art satellite remote sensing technologies to evaluate sea turtle movement patterns and to identify environmental factors responsible for these patterns.

The websites for the following projects are under development.

  • The Bahamas — Movements of an Olive Ridley Sea Turtle
  • The Bahamas — Movements of Juvenile Green Turtles
  • The Bahamas — Post-Nesting Movements of Loggerhead Sea Turtles
  • The Azores — Movements of Oceanic-Stage Loggerhead Sea Turtles
