International Trade

In recent years, accelerated global economic integration has created both competitive pressures and expanded opportunities in Florida and elsewhere. These changes give rise to a host of important research questions. For example, should Florida adopt new economic policies and priorities as its markets and foreign markets alike become more accessible to competitors? Furthermore, what are the key factors that will determine Florida’s economic success as its businesses face ever-increasing global competition? Also, what are the primary effects on Florida and on the United States of regional economic integration agreements such as NAFTA?
