Eastern Shore Community College (ESCC) offers degrees and certificates in a wide variety of programs and topics. We offer Developmental Courses to help students who may need more preparation before taking college-level courses in either Transfer or Occupational Technical programs. We also offer various Distance Learning options to provide students with scheduling flexibility, convenience,  and more options. You may review the information below for a general overview of each area. You may also work with an Advisor to begin planning your long-range academic goals and to determine what may be most appropriate path for you to reach your goals.

ESCC has available a Catalog and Student Handbook with complete program descriptions.

Transfer Programs

The Associate of Arts and Sciences degrees are designed to provide the freshman and sophomore years of the bachelor’s degree. The curriculum includes the English, history, mathematics, lab science, and social science courses necessary for transfer to a four-year, degree-granting institution.

Students may choose a specialization which prepares them for their future baccalaureate majors.  To learn more about these programs, please visit Transfer Programs.

Occupational and Technical Programs

These programs prepare students to go to work. We offer certificates and degrees in an extensive variety of areas.  To learn more about these programs, please visit Occupational and Technical Programs.

Developmental Studies

ESCC provides a program of developmental studies for students who are not completely prepared for occupational-technical or college transfer curricula. Mandatory placement in this program is determined by tests in mathematics, reading, and English. Based on test results, students may have full-time or part-time schedules of developmental courses.

Students required to enroll in developmental courses should be aware that in most cases the time required to meet program requirements will be extended.  To learn more about these courses, please visit Developmental Courses
